Taught school for a few years. Moved back to Berry in 1974 and worked for the Dean of Women, met Darlene and decided I wanted to go back to school. Moved to Carrollton, GA and attended West Georgia College (now the University of West Georgia) while working part-time for the Housing Office. Currently I am retired, and most of my singing is with my church, although I have sung with a senior's chorus called "The Merry Melody Makers", I am, however, the youngest member of the group!  My favorite thing to do when I'm not singing, is beading. I make most of my own earrings and also have made prayer beads, and other jewlery.

I have a 2 year old long haired Chihuahua, Scout who was named after Scout Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird"; Patches, a 5 year old Siamese/Calico cat, and Sasha, a 15 year old Tuxedo cat.

I never had any children, but I do have two nieces (one who introduces me as her 2nd Mom), two nephews, two nephews-in-law, two nieces-in-law, 15 great nieces & great nephews, one great-great-niece and a great-great-nephew on the way!  My life is full and I love it. I'm busier now than when I worked full-time.  Along with working part-time as a care-giver and respite worker, I also volunteer at Reading Services of the Redwoods, a radio station for those who are visually impaired, and/or not able to read for one reason or another. I have lunch most week days at our Senior Center and enjoy sharing the stories of our lives.------------------
