At our 20th reunion: Jim is living in Miami. He is a Civil Engineer with Crowder, Mahoney & Associates on Bird Road. He attended Miami Dade Community College, the University of Miami, and the University of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Engineering Society and the Florida Society for Professional Land Surveyors. He was named the Associate Member of the Year (1978) of the Florida Society of Professional Land Surveyors. Wine collecting, gourmet cooking, golf and tennis are his hobbies.
At our 25th reunion: Jim is living in Miami and is still employed with Crowder, Mahoney & Associates.
We had Jim on the deceased list, but could not verify his death, so we removed him and placed him on the missing list. On the 2nd of August, 2010, Frances Newton, from our class, called and said he is definitely deceased. That he died in Miami around March, 2000.
I was able to obtain his date of birth from peoplefinders.com since the death was fairly recent. However, Florida death records are available only through 1998. Social security death records are updated almost daily, however, the funeral home would have to report his ssn to them and apparently that didn’t happen. So, I’ve been unable to get written information on his death. Frances gave me the names of his two sisters (Mary Alice & Mildred Jane), but I didn’t have time to look for them, since I left for the reunion on the 3rd of August. I will follow up on this at a later date.
